In free translation “I dream of you in exile”, the sixth book of poems by Antonio Floriano, the poet brings together poems from Japan, the country where he lived for a few years as an economic exile. In 2021, in Lisbon, thinking about the private exile that affected thousands of people in the pandemic - and seeing so many Brazilians living far from their country - he had the feeling of being far from his dear people, during his years in Japan. These memories found photographs by Fernando Phillipi, a photographer from Itajaí who lives in San Diego in the United States, where he photographed scenes during the pandemic. Thus, “I dream of you in exile” is a book of poems and photos with points of contact, and dialogues for details from the many possible exiles and how they transform us.
